Antique Sacred Heart Statue 17 Inches 43 cm

A very high quality Plaster of Paris statue from around 1920.
A beautifully made, antique plaster statue of The Sacred Heart probably made in Dublin, Ireland at the start of the 20th Century. Only markings are on the rear Fig. Ra. N. 9
This is a humble representation of Jesus Christ and He is looking down at the ground before Him. His hands, clearly pierced, are pointing to The Sacred Heart.
A lovely artefact, a hand-painted religious figure beloved of those of the Catholic Faith. This is an early original.
The wear on certain areas indicate where it was respectfully venerated over the years.
The condition is good antique condition for its age with a few chips and scratches. Original condition. No repairs. Please see photos.
Some of the highlights to the robe originally in a gold colour have darkened over the years giving a hint to the true age of this work.
