Rare Bronze/resin Irish Sculpture
Description
This bronze Irish music sculpture is by Jeanne Rynhart. It depicts a Seisiun Fiddle surrounded by other traditional instruments. The piece is approx 4.5 inches in height and 4.5 inches diameter at the base. The base has original black felt cover.
The piece was produced using a cold casting technique instead of melting solid metal in a foundary metal powder is blended into a liquid resin which is poured into a mould. Once ready it is buffed and given the appearance of true heavy weight bronze but at a fraction of the price.
The base is inscribed with Cluain Meala (Clonmel) indicating this was a commorative piece for some event or a special limited edition or one off.
Very rare online to buy but a similar one 1.5 inches taller on ebay is Eur120
