Rare Vintage Arma Christi Sacred Folk Art Wall Cross / Crucifix

A Rare Vintage Arma Christi Sacred Folk Art Wall Crucifix.

Description:

(A Beautiful Gift.)

A rare and striking vintage Central European sacred folk art wall cross, imported directly from Germany.

This distinctive piece represents the traditional Arma Christi (Instruments of the Passion), incorporating symbolic elements of the Crucifixion story into its multi-layered wooden design—including the ladder, lance, and sponge staff flanking the central cross. It features a detailed cast metal corpus of Christ and INRI banner with a beautiful natural aged patina.

Originating from the traditional Alpine folk art regions (Bavaria / Black Forest tradition) and sourced from France, pieces of this genre are highly sought after by collectors of sacred art and period religious decor.
