A great toby jug, manufactured by Roy Kirkham. Made in Staffordshire, England. Toby jug is called Thief and comes from a set of 8 toby jugs after the popular 15th century nursery rhyme Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Richman Poorman Beggarman Thief. He has a pheasant in one hand and a rabbit in a sack in the other hand. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measurements height 5.5” , width 3.25” depth 3.75” and base 3.25” X 3.5” Weight 324 grammes. Fully backstamped printed and embossed no.784.
