WADE "The Tortoise Family"
Papa Ashtray
This is the large 10 cm tortoise that was usually referred to as a Papa Tortoise. Wade Porcelain is introduce The Tortoise Family figurines in 1958, and this large tortoise was called "Papa is an Ashtray". It features a removable lid (the shell), which reveals a shallow ashtray. It may also be used as a trinket dish.
Baby Tortoise
This is 7.5 cm Baby Tortoise, first issued in 1960'.
It's the larger of the two baby tortoise and forms part of a collection of five comprising Wade's "The Tortoise Family".
