Vintage porcelain bird figurine. Baltimore Orioles.

This vintage mid-century porcelain bird figurine features a beautifully detailed pair of Baltimore Orioles perched on a naturalistic tree branch. Hand-painted with a smooth, matte bisque finish, the sculpture captures a lifelike woodland scene accented by delicate porcelain flower blossoms nestled within the green foliage. The composition is designed with a striking vertical, staggered arrangement standing approximately 9 inches high. Oval base is 5-inch by 3.5 inch. Breaking from traditional layouts, this unique piece features the highly vibrant, fiery red-orange and black male bird positioned lower on the main branch stem, while the softer, less vibrant female or juvenile bird sits higher up near the peak of the branch. The underside reveals a hollow-cast construction featuring two traditional kiln vent holes on either side of the base, alongside the title "Baltimore Oriole" clearly etched directly into the ceramic material.
