Title: 1902 Illustrated London News Coronation Record King Edward VII Queen Alexandra

Original 1902 Illustrated London News Record of the Coronation Service and Ceremony of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.

Large-format souvenir edition with twenty-five coloured and other plates and many illustrations by R. Caton Woodville, S. Begg, A. Forestier, T. Walter Wilson, Allan Stewart, G. Amato, H.W. Koekkoek and others. Includes gold-bordered plates such as "King Edward VII as Colonel-in-Chief of the 10th Hussars".

Nice historical detail: the title page gives the date as June 26, 1902, but the coronation was postponed to August when the King needed emergency surgery.

Rich red and gold embossed cover. Lovely period adverts inside, including a full-page Eno's Fruit Salt advert.

Condition: good for its age (over 120 years old). Cover has edge wear; some spotting and marks to the first pages near the spine; plates bright. [Add any missing pages or loose plates if you find them.]

A great piece of royal and Edwardian history for collectors or as a gift.
