1946/47 Antique Bell Phone Untested

Very rare 1946/1947 antique wooden wall crank telephone often manufactured by Western Electric or Automatic Electric or Northern Electric, this one looks like Northern Electric. It features a dark wooden casing, typically oak or walnut and a black bakelite handset.

It includes a hand crank on one side used to generate power to ring the operator, this turns easily.

The magneto ringer box appears to be a Northern Electric N415H Subscribe Set from 1947

All the mechanism inside appears to be intact but untested,

The wooden casing has scratches and sign of age would need to be waxed I have left it natural

Obviously it is missing one bell reflected in the price, I have seen bells for sale on line but colour wise would not be sympathetic to this one but worth investigation.

On the back there are 3 of the 4 corners feet present, one is missing.

Wonderful rare collectable piece as is especially if stained or waxed
