19th Century "Sad" Cast Iron and Cradle

Here is a super cool 19th Century "Sad" cast iron and it's original cradle holder..So called sad because of the weight of them..These were mainly produced in Illinois in the mid to late 1800s..and were designed to sit on top of wood burners to heat up for ironing..You very very seldom if ever see these with their cradles..I have added no premium for this rare accessory.The iron plate is spotless and ready for action..it measures 5.5x3.5" approximately on the flat and the combo weighs a hefty 1.9kgs..This baby was built to outlive many generations and is good for another 200 years..Super cool piece at very very sensible money..This won't be around for long guys.Registered post is available for an additional five euro.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
