Antique Chinese 3-Tier Folding Jewellery Box - Carved Dragon Lid - Qing Dynasty Style - Concertina Trinket Box

Stunning Antique Chinese Style 3-Tier Folding Jewellery Box - Qing Dynasty Style

A beautiful and very collectable piece, perfect for a collector, for display, or as a unique gift.

The star of this box is the lid: a finely carved oval panel of a sinuous Chinese dragon chasing the pearl amongst clouds - in Chinese culture the dragon is a symbol of power, good luck and protection. The carving is incredibly detailed, with scales, claws and clouds all hand-worked.

It opens in a clever concertina / fan style to reveal 3 separate deep compartments - ideal for rings, earrings, necklaces or small keepsakes. All tiers open smoothly and the clasp closes securely.
