Unusual antique English table nutcracker with round wooden tray base and brass/metal screw mechanism.
Marked Made in England, Brit. Pat. Pend., Reg. Design No. around the wheel, likely early 20th century / Edwardian period.
The nut sits in the central cradle and the screw wheel tightens to crack it, while the wooden tray base catches the shells. A very charming and collectible piece of old English kitchenalia.
Condition is antique used, with age-related wear, tarnish, marks, staining, patina and wear to the felt underside. Sold as a decorative collectible item.
