Vintage framed print after “La leçon de clavecin” (The Harpsichord Lesson) by French painter Jules-Alexis Muenier (1863–1942), originally painted circa 1911.
This piece is an early 20th-century reproduction, likely a photolithograph, depicting a young girl receiving a piano lesson from an older gentleman, rendered in the soft, romantic realism characteristic of Muenier’s work.
The artwork retains a beautiful aged patina that enhances its vintage character and atmosphere. The reverse bears the original label of S. & Annes Art Gallery, W.J. Irvine, Belfast, adding to its provenance and authenticity.
