These fabulous matching hand knotted Persian Abadeh rug and runner feature a striking tribal design rooted in the Qashqai weaving tradition. At the centre of each piece is a diamond-shaped medallion framed by smaller geometric motifs, stylized flowers, rosettes, and birds, arranged with symmetrical precision. The field is a warm vibrant red providing a rich backdrop for the intricate detailing.

Surrounding the central medallion is a series of borders: a main border with repeating floral or vine patterns in navy blue, flanked by narrower guard borders in ivory or soft camel tones. Accents of deep indigo, rust, and cream add depth and contrast, while touches of turquoise or green may appear in the smaller motifs, lending vibrancy without overpowering the overall palette.

The runner mirrors the rug’s layout, scaled to its elongated form, making the pair ideal for creating visual continuity across adjoining spaces. The colours are earthy and harmonious, with natural dyes that have mellowed beautifully over time, giving the set a warm, lived-in elegance.
