Fabulous Vintage Retro Large Art Glass Hand-Blown Teardrop Ovoid-Shaped Paperweight with a Stunning Intricate Pattern in Blue, Clear and Opaque White Glass

I am sorting through my Art Glass collection and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize! I'm making progress but more items need to go! I might give up a few of the paperweights in my collection.

I’ve quite a few eclectic items of Art Glass décor including a number of mid-century-modern items, some of which I have on display and some which I am not currently displaying, due to colour scheme changes. They still bring me joy, and I probably would use them in future again, but something needs to go!!!

For sale here is a Fabulous Vintage Retro Large Art Glass Hand-Blown Teardrop Ovoid-Shaped Paperweight with a Stunning Intricate Pattern in Blue, Clear and Opaque White Glass

This is a Stunning Large and Heavy Hand-Blown Art Glass Paperweight, but with no markings on the base I am unable to attribute it to a particular glass blower or factory. I cannot find similar online, but it is a quality piece.

The main colour of the Paperweight is clear glass with delicate fine spirals of opaque white glass around the edge.

The centre has a stunning pattern of large blown bubbles in shades of blue glass interspaced with blown rings of clear glass. The effect is almost like what you would see when someone is blowing arrows through smoke rings: this pattern would take a lot of practice from a master blower to achieve such results.

The shape of the paperweight is very organic which accentuates the delicate and intricate patterning in the interior. It is teardrop or ovoid in shape. The colours and pattern looks better in the flesh, it was a hard piece to photograph.

The paperweight stands 6.5 inches inches/16.5cm in height and is about 3.5 inches/ 9 cm at its widest point. It is a very heavy solid piece of glass weighing in at 1.236 kilos. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

A statement piece perfect for display in a contemporary or retro setting. A fantastic addition to a glass paperweight collection.
