Beautiful vintage mid-century ceramic hot water jug / chocolate pitcher in the timeless Blue Willow pattern. This is an authentic piece of Irish social history, featuring a dual manufacture connection.
• Ceramic Base: Made by the famous Arklow Pottery in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Features the complete 1950s blue underglaze backstamp with the ornate "Willow" cartouche and a circled "D" production mark on the bottom.
• Lid Mechanism: Fitted with its original, patented English counter-balanced flip lid stamped "J.C. & Sons" (John Campbell & Sons) inside a shield, marked "Made in England".
• Details: Includes classic gold gilt highlighting on the rim and handle, alongside the distinctive porcelain button knob on the hinge mechanism.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition for its age. The flip-top metal lid is fully intact, firmly attached, and operates smoothly. No heavy staining, cracks, or structural damage. Minor unglazed shelf wear on the footed base as expected with age.
