Oil Painting "Gathering Seaweed"
Description
This wooden framed oil painting despicts a Traditional Irish Scene 9f gathering Seaweed, a subject popular in postcards (see last photo) and art from the 1960s and 1970s.
53 x 42 cm
The painting shows a horse-drawn cart loaded with seaweed alongside a small boat near the shore, set against mountainous background.
Similar works featuring donkey or horse carts in Irish coastal scenes have appeared in antique & Collectible marketplaces often priced in the range from 120 Euro to over 1.000 Euro depending on condition and artist. See 2nd last photo just as a price comparison.
