Description
c. late 19th–early 20th century. Matched pair with triangular blades, steel cup guards, wire-bound grips and ornate knight’s-head pommels. Ricassos marked SOUZY AINÉ (Souzy Aîné, Paris). Good antique condition with age-related patina and light staining. Cup guards slightly loose, apparently due to shrinkage of the original leather/fibre washers. A handsome pair of French duelling/fencing épées by one of the noted Paris suppliers.
