This limited-edition ceramic water jug was produced by Seton Pottery in Cornwall for Martell Cognac to commemorate the infamous 1993 Grand National at Aintree—the historic race that was declared void after a chaotic double false start

Instead of cancelling production, Martell released a strictly limited run of 5,000 numbered jugs to mark "The Race That Never Was.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The cobalt blue glaze is highly glossy, the text and graphics are crisp, and the gold gilt trim along the rim is beautifully intact with no rubbing. No chips, cracks, or crazing. (Please see photos for a complete look at the base and all sides).
