Rare Christie Hennessy LP

Christie Hennessy's first L.P. which was released in 1973 on the little known Westwood label, and is often referred to as The Green Album. Only 500 copies were ever pressed and with very little publicity or promotion, the album was barely noticed making this one of the rarest L.P.'s ever recorded by an Irish artist, who would later go on to find international success decades later. The album features Christie on vocals and guitar, backed by Anthony Griffiths on guitar, fiddle, mandolin and vocals; Paul Darby, guitar, tin whistle and vocals; and Terry Kane, Jews Harp.
Due to the poor sales of the album, Christie returned to working on the building sites in London before releasing his breakthrough album, The Rehearsal, in 1992 and obtaining his long overdue recognition as a singer and
songwriter.
