Stunning fine 50 Raj Tabriz rug withred field filled with tightly drawn floral sprays, branching stems and small animals and birds woven with precision. The motifs are arranged symmetrically, with crisp outlines and clear detailing thanks to the high knot count and the silk highlights. The border is layered and traditional, with cream and navy bands carrying more floral work and small animal figures that frame the central panel cleanly.
My grandfather collected Antiques and Persian Rugs.
This is one of the best rugs he had.

The colours are rich and balanced. The main field is a deep red, contrasted by cream, navy and soft pastel tones in the flowers. Greens, blues, golds and touches of pink appear throughout the motifs, giving the rug a lively but controlled palette. The silk adds a striking sheen to certain elements, lifting the design without overpowering the wool.
Vintage rug in good clean condition, beautifully preserved with vibrant colours and a strong, resilient weave, ready to add elegance to any room.
