Antique Victorian era wooden stereoscope viewer, dated 1883.
Stereoscopes present two dimensional images in 3D format. Recreate the wonder and mystery of a bygone era.
The viewer is in excellent condition for its age and in full working order.
The left lens has been mended - see pictures.
Collection of 13 stereo cards including: Paris (e.g panorama, 1860, Arc de Triomphe), Amiens, Verona (Tomb of Scaliger), UK (London - Atlantic Terrace & Holy Trinity Church, Chester - Bishop Pearson's tomb) Scotland (Sir. Walter Scott's tomb, Dryburgh Abbey), USA (The Natural Bridge, Virginia) and children playing.
