Vintage 1930s French Aristose Jammet Advertising Tin Paris

Original French advertising tin for Aristose, made for Établissements Jammet / Pouillard et ses Fils of 47 rue de Miromesnil, Paris.

A lovely piece of 1930s French commercial packaging, decorated on all sides in red, cream and blue-green with the Salus et Scientia windmill trademark. The sides retain the original preparation instructions, nutritional information and long list of Jammet dietary products.

Aristose was one of the company's malted cereal preparations. The Aristose trademark was registered by Pouillard & Ses Fils in 1929, and surviving Jammet advertising from 1930 carries the same Paris address, making this a particularly nice piece of interwar French advertising.

The base is also printed Farines Maltées Jammet - Pouillard Pharmacien et ses Fils - 47 Rue de Miromesnil, Paris.

Really old and very much showing its age, with surface wear, scratches, staining, oxidation and rust, particularly to the lid and underside. The printed decoration nevertheless remains remarkably attractive and legible. Please see all photographs for the exact condition.
