Complete vintage hi-fi system purchased in North America in December 1978 and retained together since then.

The system comes with the original purchase invoice from December 1978 (purchase price $750), original boxes for all of the main components and a selection of original manuals, warranty documents and paperwork.

The complete set-up comprises:

* Pair of Teledyne Acoustic Research AR15 speakers
* Brand-new step-down transformer for use with Irish mains
* Original boxes, including individual boxes for both AR15 speakers

* Original December 1978 purchase invoice

The equipment is North American 120V specification. A brand-new step-down transformer for use with Irish 230V mains is therefore included in the sale.

Condition

The Sony PS-T3 turntable is working.

I haven’t been able to test the Pioneer receiver, Akai cassette deck or AR15 speakers, so these are being sold untested and as seen, with no guarantee as to their current working condition.

Cosmetically, the equipment is in very good vintage condition for its age, although naturally there are signs of age and use. The original boxes also show their age and storage over the years. Please see the photographs for the condition of the individual pieces.

This is a very complete original late-1970s system, particularly with the original invoice, boxes and documentation still together after almost 50 years.

I would like to sell the system as one complete package and am not looking to split the individual components at this stage.

€1,100 – sensible offers considered.

Collection only due to the size and weight of the complete system.
