Vintage Art Deco Park Lane (L.S. Mayer) Gold-Tone Vanity Purse/Cigarette Case. Mesh Wristlet.

Art Deco all-in-one vanity compact (minaudière)/ciggie case by Park Lane, marked to the hinge with the maker's diamond logo for L.S. Mayer, a firm that produced these fitted compacts/purses from the late 1930s through the 1940s.

Gold-tone metal throughout with an engine-turned (guilloché) finish to the lid and base, and a fine mesh wristlet strap. One side opens to reveal a mirror and a fitted interior retaining its original compartments:
• A lidded powder section with the original powder puff (some residual powder to the case, as shown)
• A lidded rouge section with its original rouge disc and separate puff
• Louis Philippe "Angelus Rouge Incarnat" lip and cheek rouge tube, marked "Made in England" under the lid and decorated with fleur-de-lis engraving — Louis Philippe was a well-known 1930s–40s American cosmetics brand, and this is a lovely period-correct survival rather than a later replacement
• A separate celluloid comb, stored loose in the base

The other hinged side contains a holder for ciggies, matches and notes and another small hinged compartment.

This is a lovely, complete example of a 1930s/40s vanity accessory, ideal for a collector of compacts, minaudières, or Art Deco vanity items.

Condition: Vintage, sold as seen. Gold-tone finish shows expected age — light surface tarnishing and handling marks/spotting to the lid and base (see photos), with brassing/wear consistent with genuine use. Hinge and clasp both function. Mirror intact. Original powder and rouge remain in their compartments with cosmetic residue as pictured. Mesh strap intact and flexible, does have tarnishing.
