Vintage Caithness Glass “Moonflower” Paperweight – Colin Terris – Scotland – 1969 Design

Beautiful vintage Caithness Glass “Moonflower” paperweight, an iconic design by renowned Scottish glass artist Colin Terris, first introduced in 1969.

This striking example features the classic Moonflower design with four elongated pulled clear lobes surrounding a central controlled teardrop bubble, rising from a richly coloured mottled base in deep amethyst, green and black. Controlled air bubbles complete the design beneath a heavy crystal-clear dome.

The original factory label is no longer present, leaving what appears to be the outline of a former sticker on the polished base. The design itself closely matches the classic Caithness Moonflower pattern.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition.
No chips, cracks or repairs.
Expected light surface wear/scratches to the polished base from decades of display.
