Vintage Hamlet Cigars & Tobacco Shop Display Cabinet, Ritmeester Advertising Display

This is a vintage Hamlet tobacco and cigar display cabinet, designed as a traditional countertop shop display.

The cabinet has an ornate, dark wood-effect frame with decorative carved-style scrollwork at the top corners. A prominent yellow and red “Hamlet” sign runs across the top, with “Ritmeester” branding in the centre. The front features two tiers of glass-fronted display compartments, with vintage tobacco products and cigar packaging arranged inside.

The shelves retain their original-style cream, yellow and red price strips, advertising products such as Hamlet 5s, Hamlet Singles, Pikeur, Tip and Half Corona cigars. Prices are shown in old British pre-decimal/decimal-era currency, adding to its period character.

Overall, it is an attractive piece of vintage tobacco-shop advertising and retail memorabilia, combining ornate styling, period graphics and original product compartments. It would be particularly suitable for a collector of vintage advertising, tobacconist memorabilia, or mid-century shop displays.
