Vintage Manual Hair Clippers - "Happiness" Brand Model 040 - Boxed Retro Barber Collectible

An authentic, vintage mechanical hand-squeeze hair clipper set from the "Happiness" brand (幸福牌), dating from around the 1970s.

Comes complete with its original illustrated green-grid cardboard box featuring all its original factory export stampings.

Authentic Export Markings: Side of the box features original stamps showing Model/Item No. 040 and the official text "Made in the People's Republic of China" (中華人民共和國製).

Interesting Provenance: Features a fascinating handwritten vintage shop price mark inside the lower box base, showing it was sold or inventoried in Ireland on 20-11-94 for £6.00 (Irish Punts).

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The chrome body and handles are shiny and clean. The mechanical squeeze-spring action works smoothly. There is some light, authentic surface patina on the front cutting teeth as shown in the photos, giving it a brilliant retro look.
