vintage monopoly set- Wartime Edition
vintage monopoly set- Wartime Edition
Description
A vintage John Waddington Ltd. Monopoly set bearing Patent No. 453689 and featuring wooden disc bases with slot in cardboard character images dates from the late 1930s through World War = (roughly 1936 to1945).
Collectibility
These sets are often referred to by collectors as Wartime Editions.
Because the cardboard images were delicate and easily lost or damage over the decades, finding a complete set with all original slotted wooden bases and matching cardboard cut outs is quite rare and desirable for board game historians.
All property cards, money, chance and community chest cards are there and in good condition. Box in good condition.
