Vintage National Time Recorder Co Ltd., London Time. Antique Clock.

Description

Vintage National Time Recorder Co Ltd., London Time Clock. With a spring driven, eight-day movement and recording mechanism for time of day, morning vs. afternoon and day of the week, c. 1920. Comes with key, pendulum and pedestal. These clocks were used from around 1920 for clocking in and out of work. The worker had a card which was inserted in the slot which could be set to one of four positions (shift 1 in/out, shift 2 in/out), the big brass lever would be pushed down, which caused the machine to ring a bell and print a timestamp on the card showing the time of checking in or out.

A beautiful piece.
