Vintage Pair Framed Renaissance Religious Prints Domenico Alfani

Beautiful matching pair of high quality c.1920s framed fine art reproductions after Renaissance works associated with Italian painter Domenico Alfani.

These are not modern decorative prints. They are finely produced early 20th century art reproductions with beautiful colour, detail and tonal depth, presented in their original period style wooden frames with shaped mounts and glass.

Both retain old Milwaukee, Wisconsin gallery labels to the reverse. The surviving labels appear to be from the historic Dunbar Galleries of Milwaukee, a recognised American art gallery and dealer, giving the pair particularly nice period provenance.

The original backing paper shows age related wear, entirely consistent with their age, while both pictures display beautifully from the front.

Each measures approximately 31 cm x 22.5 cm.

Sold together as a matching pair. A very attractive and unusual set of quality period framed art with genuine age, character and gallery provenance.
