I don't know this model_ is there a pre-amp built in? Is it all working properly (I. E radio, cassette player, record player)? Are there ANY issues with the sound quality? Thank you
@gombeener Thanks for your message!
To answer your questions:
1. Pre-amp: Yes, it has a built-in amplifier, so you do not need an external pre-amp. You just need to connect passive speakers directly to the back of the unit.
2. Functionality: Everything is working properly. The turntable (record player), cassette player, and radio all play perfectly. The cassette deck also records perfectly from both the vinyl records and the radio.
3. Sound Quality: The sound quality is great while playing. The only minor issue is that when you turn the volume knob up or down, there is a temporary scratchy/crackling noise (static). However, once you stop turning the knob and leave it at your desired volume, the sound is completely clean and clear.
Note: This scratchy sound is very common in vintage gear from this era. It usually just means the volume potentiometer needs a quick spray of contact cleaner like DeoxIT.
