For sale is a vintage British Telecom (BT) 704C Portable Linesman’s Field Telephone, manufactured around 1984. These rugged, heavy-duty units were used by telecom engineers to test roadside cabinets and locate exchange faults. This unit is in fantastic, clean cosmetic condition and makes an excellent collector's piece or industrial display item. Features & Condition:Original "TELE 250 MK 4 TE" lid stamping with the "BT 704 C" service label. Heavy-duty rotary dial spins back smoothly at a steady speed.Includes the original black Handset No. 6, flexible coiled cord, and rubber terminal caps. Complete with the original wiring diagram and operating instructions still perfectly intact inside the lid. Fitted with the original green canvas shoulder carrying strap.
