•It is individually handcrafted using a combination of dark East Indian Rosewood (sonokeling) for the speaker face and light-colored Pine or Mahogany wood for the body. For every tree harvested to make these radios, a new one is planted in its place.
• The production of these radios helps support and revitalize the economy of small rural villages in Kandangan, Central Java, Indonesia, by training local craftspeople.
• It functions as a standard two-band or three-band radio receiver (VHF/MW) and features a distinctive rich, resonant sound because the wood acts as a natural acoustic instrument body.
