Waterford Crystal Lismore Diamond Centrepiece Ursuline Waterford Provenance

Beautiful genuine Waterford Crystal Lismore Diamond Footed Centrepiece, 30 cm (12”), model 164531, made in Ireland.
This substantial lead-crystal bowl features the classic Lismore Diamond cut pattern and retains its original Waterford identification label.
Unusually, the bowl has been engraved with the traditional Ursuline motto, “Soli Deo Gloria” (“Glory to God alone”) together with the Latin inscription from Daniel 12:3, “Those who instruct many in righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.”
The bowl was personally given to my partner by a nun from the Ursuline community in Waterford, giving it a particularly interesting connection to the historic Ursuline girls’ school and convent in Waterford.
No written provenance accompanies the piece, so this is offered on the basis of the history provided by the original recipient.
Excellent condition, with the original Waterford label still present. A beautiful and unusual piece of Waterford Crystal with a meaningful Ursuline educational and religious connection.
