Rare Vintage crystal bowl with silver rim made by Hermann Bauer from Germany circ. 1970.

This vintage cut crystal bowl is a wonderful example of the work done by this silversmith.

Made of beautifully designed heavy cut crystal with sterling 925 solid silver around the rim. A beautiful piece.

The artisan silverware producer Hermann Bauer brings silver and art together. Over its 150 years of tradition, this company from Southwestern Germany has developed from purely artistic jewellery creation to a high-quality silverware atelier with classically timeless design, one of the outcomes of this are its everyday utensils in form of butter dishes, glasses and bowls. These cut-glass items have a silver rim as their finishing touch. Even when empty, they are decorative ornaments in their own right.

Marked 925 sterling with the manufacturers HB mark.

This bowl is in very good vintage condition with minor wear from age and use.

Diameter 6.1/2 inches - 16.5 cm

There is some tarnish to the silver which should remove easily if wanted, however some folks like the more aged look and so I will leave it up to yourself.
