Luminarc glass hen egg cups - set of 2

These 2 vintage Luminarc clear glass Chicken/Hens were produced in France during the 1960s to 1970s. They have the embossed Luminarc stamp on the bottom of both glasses, and one glass still has its original manufacturing sticker. Each piece is molded in a stylized, three-dimensional sitting hen or chicken shape, measuring roughly 7cm tall and 7cm from beak to tail. This Hen/Chicken pair were cleverly crafted with pressed sodalime glass which is thick and chip-resistant. Combined with the compact, stable footed base, they are a durable piece designed for longevity. They have a smooth yet tactile relief showing finer line details of feathers and their tucked heads and beaks'. These charming playful little characters have an authentic retro appeal, and fit in seamlessly in a country setting.
