So you don’t know? Thanks for getting back to me. The reason the make is so important is that craftsmanship and skin quality dictate everything about a bodhrán's sound and playability.
A drum handmade by a reputable maker using properly cured skin will have a deep, resonant tone and a reliable tuning system. Mass-produced or unbranded 'souvenir' drums tend to use low-grade skins that sound flat and are very difficult to play.

As Seamus Ennis famously said that a bodhrán is best played with a very sharp, open pen-knife
