I would be interested but not that kind of money. New Solis storage is 1300€ for 5kw and you are looking for a 1600€ a 3 year old battery... Could offer 800€ ?
@pitero1 but remember the solis battery is only 6000 cycles the Puredrive is 10000 cycles much better battery
Remember that you're selling a 3 year battery for the price of a new one...not to mention that Solis has heating pads and extinguisher built in. 10k is only number that no one can't confirm yet.
@Garacio not sure Puredrive recommend to not update unless there’s a problem so I have never had to go near them , I think you have to plug a laptop in to the battery to check that but not sure
I mean, it's on a sticker on the left side of each battery. Can you make a photo so we can see it of each battery? Like 1.xx isn't compatible with 2.x.x, and some 2.x.x isn't compatible with 3.x.x afak
@Garacio that was the only update 01/01/2023 any battery after that date has this firmware and there has not been another update
@Garacio show me that version and where is says that , there has been no firmware update since January 2023
buy the way, tried to contact puredrive support to get their app installed and configured. Got no replay. About month ago. Seems their so called warranty isn't there. So not so sure about their promise of 10k charge/discharge promise. Also saw some faulty modules for sale in UK. Are they out of business?!
@Garacio I think you are mixing up gen 1 and gen2 which don’t match up so if you have a gen 1 DO NOT buy a gen 2 as they don’t match up and cause problems with balancing and don’t talk to each other
@Garacio never used there app and only got throughout to them via email and unfairness they replied usually 3/4 days
I tried myself mix with 2.x.x firmware - never charges to 100%, maybe there are more obvious issues, not sure. I could sell mine - would you go to my attic to remove two my batteries and lift up 2x16kWh 90 kilo each?
@Garacio do you want me to make your dinner too that’s weird that they won’t charge to 100% I have mine charging to 95% on cheap rate then if solar is good they charge to 100% never had a problem try your settings what inverter do you have
@Garacio No public evidence of a Puredrive / PureStorage II (Gen 2) 5 kWh battery firmware specifically called V3.4.1.
What is documented
• The official Gen 2 BMS update tool (the one shared on forums and used with the special cable) targets versions in the V_2_x_x series. The most commonly referenced target is V_2_3_5.
• Users on boards.ie have described batteries as running “v2 hardware with v3 firmware”, but this appears to be informal shorthand rather than an exact version string like 3.4.1.
• No changelog, tool screenshot, or support post turns up that lists V3.4.1, 3.4.1, or V_3_4_1 for these batteries.

@Garacio have you tried updating the firmware , if never done it but you should ask your installer can he do it so you can run them in parallel,
@Garacio no I believe you , just can’t understand why they won’t charge to 100% did you say 1 was v2 and the other v3 , you should email Puredrive and ask them for the update
@Garacio Sales puredrive- energy.co. uk
I got them on this email , no gaps I had to do it this way because they won’t let you put in a email address

yeh, as I said I'm waiting for a month or so to add my battery to their app - no reply so far. After they change the brand to duracell, seems they have 0 interest in supporting what they sold so far, as there is no money in it for them. Maybe back in 2022-23 it was a good service, but certainly not now. After all - this is a small engineering company, all batteries made, guess where! In China!
@Garacio I never got the app to work on my phone so probably wasting your time on that but ask them about the v2 and v3 for parallel and do they need an update ???
I’m only trying to help you out here that would piss me off if they couldn’t charge to 100%

I better get this one, seems legit to me:

@Garacio great price I taught the same just fearful of buying off Amazon for a battery but that’s me great price , I always wondered why the Puredrive where so expensive compared to the rest , same lfp only difference is puredrive has more cycles but big saving and that 16kw
that one isn't bad, some reviews on youtube with dismantling it etc.
Why so expensive? our UK neighbours also want their cut.

@Garacio dyness look good but I suppose you dig deep enough you will find someone that hates them or had bad experiences, I’m looking at getting a heat pump and my head is about to explode looking it up
@Garacio Solis Intelihome 16.4kw is 2300€ in the Netherlands, 150€ delivery. If my inverter wasn't in the attic...
dyness or datouboss, I probably wouldn't buy. Solis, not sure. At least inverters are good. heat pump probably will never pay back... got A rated gas boiler instead.
Heat pump nearly coming out for free with a new grant. Yes no way to get that battery into the attic
didn't look into heat pumps, probably it's not a bad idea. Hope you have backup switch, so you can run heating from your batteries off the grid.
Pricey...friend got ecodan 5kw +HWT + new rads 13k. Grant nearly covered it all. Depends on the size of the house.
@Garacio I had a generator to power the house the last time after storm I wouldn’t pay the mad price for changeover switch when I had one already there for generator
then you are covered, as solar system requires outer source to run (to sync with grid I assume) or backup mode.
@Garacio it’s all money no matter what way you go , you try to get a larger input from the grid and Esb want €2500 for just 16kw and if you want 20kw or more it’s €4500+ and if grid needs upgrade on the line and transformer you are suppose to pay towards that also , it’s a joke this country always someone wanting more money off you on top of what you pay
