@obriekp Hello, they can go outside but are IP20 rated so would need to be in a weatherproof enclosure.

Hi, if you’re fitting to an existing system, does it have to be beside the inverter?

@obriekp As a rule you should keep the battery as close to the Inverter as possible. DC cables that run between the inverter as batteries are also expensive due to their size, you could be looking at €15+ per metre x2.

@davehey79 Sorry, the two batteries cannot be paralleled together to one inverter. Two different Battey management systems and the Inverter can only communicate with one BMS.

Would these units be OK to live outside if covered by a wooden shelter?

@PeteKH These are only IP20 rated, it would need to be a moisture free shelter. Also at 4°C the BMS will protect the cells due to low temp so some form of insulation would be advisable in colder weather. I have another pack, also only IP20 rated but has heating pads for colder weather.
