For sale is a genuine 19th-century Irish Regency / William IV giltwood overmantel pier mirror, manufactured by the renowned firm R. & W. Clarke of 40 & 41 Grand Parade, Cork.

A standout feature for collectors is the original, intact maker's paper trade label fully preserved on the panelled wood reverse.

* Provenance: Verified R. & W. Clarke (Cork) trade label on back.
* Dimensions: Approx. 117 cm wide x 76 cm high.
* Details: Features beautifully moulded gesso foliage/shell corner reliefs and original ebonised wooden "dandy" feet at the base corners to protect mantels.
* Condition: The frame is structurally sound with intact gesso work, finished in an older bronze-gold overpaint. The original mercury/silvered glass plate features authentic foxing throughout the whole mirror, giving it a beautiful haze and an incredible period atmosphere.
