SKYDD is a food-grade mineral oil made for wooden worktops, chopping boards and other kitchen wood.

IKEA has discontinued it and replaced it with plant-oil finishes, so it is hard to find now.

Mineral oil like this stays in the wood rather than hardening, which is why it is a popular choice for chopping boards, wooden utensils and butcher blocks. Pure mineral oil does not spoil or go rancid like vegetable or cooking oils. It is a handy way to keep timber nourished and looking fresh.
