Can it run off butane?

Most gas pizza ovens can run on both propane and butane, but they are not equally suitable in all conditions.
Propane (recommended)
• Works well in cold weather (very important in Ireland)
• Provides consistent pressure and strong heat (ideal for 400–500°C pizza baking)
• Commonly used for outdoor cooking
Best overall choice, especially for outdoor use year-round
Butane
• Performs better in warm temperatures
• Struggles in cold weather (low gas pressure → weaker flame)
• More commonly used for portable camping stoves
Verdict: Only suitable in warm conditions (summer use)
Important notes
• In Ireland, propane (“Patio Gas”) is the standard choice for outdoor cooking
• For year-round outdoor pizza making → propane is strongly recommended.
