A 35 mm film anthracite Leica R9 for sale, along with the Leica Digital-Modul-R, allowing the user to shoot with film or digitally, using the same camera. The R9 itself is next to perfect in condition (e.g. see photo of underside) and comes complete with the film back and battery compartment cover, both removed if you want to add on the digital back. The digital module itself is in very good condition and functions perfectly. It also comes with five original batteries and a dedicated charger. Batteries hold charge to varies degrees, with two performing strongly.
No original packaging or dedicated Leica case for the digital unit, but I’ll provide the alternative protective case I’ve been using. Manuals available online. The digital back also comes with an original Leica leather hand strap, which makes the full setup feel very secure in your hand.
The camera is also fitted with a dedicated screen with grid lines showing the edges of the digital image. The screen is perfectly useable if the camera is in film mode.

I’d prefer to sell the camera and digital unit together but may consider splitting. Note, the lens is not for sale (may list separately).
Seeking €2,600 for the entire package (again, without the lens). Payment by cash or bank transfer. Would need to meet up to show the potential buyer the ropes. (I’d suggest that anyone interested should first read the module’s instruction manual, available online.)
I might also consider Leica M-fit glass as swap or partial payment.
I think this is quite a unique package that doesn’t come up for sale that often, as only a limited amount of these digital units were made after the system’s launch in the early 2000s. The images produced have a unique quality too - just check out recent reviews on the system (e.g. see two links below). Also check out older reviews too, when the system was first launched. As far as I know, this is the only 35 mm system allowing you to swap between film and digital, and represents a point in time straddling the film age and the digital age. The anthracite R9 itself is pretty cool, representing the last iteration of the Leica R line.
