The cylinder head was fully reconditioned following a timing belt failure which resulted in bent valves. The exhaust valves were replaced as part of the reconditioning.

The head was originally prepared for our 2019 VW Crafter. During the repair, further damage was subsequently found to a con rod, so the complete engine was replaced instead.

As a result, this cylinder head was never fitted or run after being professionally reconditioned in 2025 and is now surplus to requirements.

This is not a used/breaker cylinder head. It is a professionally reconditioned head with the camshafts and camshaft carrier included.

VW replacement cost was approximately €2,600 for the cylinder head without camshafts.
