Vintage Brass 12V Automotive Dashboard / Inspection Map Light (Pre-War)

Original vintage automotive dashboard or interior inspection map light. Made from heavy solid brass, this is a beautiful, period-correct accessory for a vintage car, commercial truck, or early military vehicle restoration project.

Condition: Excellent aesthetic and working condition. The entire unit has been carefully disassembled and inspected (see photos). The precision brass threads run smoothly, and absolutely nothing is seized.

Components: 100% complete. Includes the heavy flanged brass base plate with its original white enameled internal reflector ring, the protective brass cage framework, and a flexible rubber sealing gasket that remains supple with no dry rot.

Glass Dome: Features a thick hand-blown style glass dome. Please note: There is a minor chip on the very bottom rim of the glass; however, this is entirely hidden inside the brass housing when assembled and has absolutely no impact on the functionality, sealing, or structural integrity of the light.Electrical: Fitted with its original brass bayonet bulb holder, insulated dual-contact rear base terminal pins, and a period-correct 12V 4W 'Norma' bulb.

Mounting: Flanged brass base plate features three pre-drilled holes, ready to be screwed flush directly onto a vintage wooden dashboard or cabin firewall panel.A rare, complete, and un-seized survivor ready to be wired directly into a premium vintage build.
