A rare trio of original etchings by Marcel Augis (pseudonym of H. Dupont). 7.75 x 5.5 inches on a 12 x 10 inches page ,a strong print page weighing 15 grams each. Provenence, an etchings stamp is to the back of one, see images.
Marcel Augis, trod the battlefields of the Western Front during 1914-1918. They recorded the devastation and the areas containing Allied troops. Many of these etchings/aquatints were sold to soldiers returning home after the war or subsequently purchased on the many battlefield remembrance tours.
Condition, very good. Hand signed, titles hand written, etchings are strong in colour, historical foxing to backs, all information is in the images.
