Original abstract portrait of my son aged about 2 years, fiddling with something that I haven’t included in the painting.
Framed in a black wooden L frame.
I’ve been working on portraiture for the last 6 months or so and have finally found a way to approach portraits that works with my abstract style - raw, gritty, somewhat obscured. I struggled with models too until I found that young photos of my children and indeed myself as a child are easy for me to capture.
