Description
Title: Vintage Oil Painting – Poppies in a Glass Vase – Round Gilt Frame – Signed H. Shaw
Lovely vintage original oil painting of poppies and summer flowers in a glass vase, signed "H. Shaw" lower right. Hand-painted on canvas, not a print. Probably mid-20th century.
Presented in its original round gilt moulded frame with beaded detail.
Size: frame approx. 56 cm (22 in) across, painting approx. 45 cm (18 in).
Condition: painting in good order with light age crackle to the background, as expected. Frame has some small cracks and wear to the gilding on the inner edge. Backing paper shows age marks. Hanging cord would need replacing.
A really decorative piece that would suit a hallway, living room or bedroom.
