Original A4 Theatre Pencil Portrait - Gringoire, Notre-Dame de Paris

Condition: New

Selling my original hand-drawn theatrical portrait of Pierre Gringoire, the poet and narrator from the musical Notre-Dame de Paris.

This A4 pencil drawing was inspired by a live performance I attended.

A little story behind the artwork:

Shortly before the premiere, the actor playing Gringoire broke his arm. Rather than hiding the injury, it was creatively incorporated into the performance, becoming part of the character's stage appearance.

I wanted to capture the atmosphere of that performance, the character's expression and his theatrical presence through traditional pencil drawing.

The artwork was developed through different stages, and I'm also including a copy of the earlier version of the portrait, showing how the drawing evolved during the creative process.
