Original vintage coloured drypoint etching by German artist Friedrich Görtitz (1890–1973), depicting the historic Römerberg square in Frankfurt am Main.
The artwork is titled “Frankfurt / M.” in pencil at the lower left and signed “F. Görtitz” in pencil at the lower right.
This detailed architectural cityscape dates from around 1938 and shows Frankfurt’s historic old town before its wartime destruction.
Presented under glass in a slim gilt wooden frame. The original backing retains a label from Kunsthandlung Rotzel, Frankfurt am Main.
Good vintage condition with light age-related wear to the frame.
Overall framed size: 41.8 × 31.8 cm.
